Wow I can’t believe it’s been seven years since I started a video production business in San Antonio. This is a great blog.

I was freelancing before I started DEKO 37. Most of my work was doing weddings and events. I still remember how exciting it was to leap out of my service industry job and start a company full time. It was one of the happiest time of my life. I was always hungry to grow and make more leads. Even the downs were great.

Now seven years later, I have done almost every genre of videos: Law, Environmental, Comedy, Animation, Medical, How-to, non-profit, music videos, short films, livestream, seminars, TEDxSanAntonio, drone, commercials and social media videos. I feel like I’m leaving some out.

DEKO 37 made it 8 years because of my persistence. I never gave up, even when I was constantly told, “we found another company for this work” or just being ghosted. But, these experiences helped me to learn why companies weren’t hiring me. I learned how to become a better salesman, videographer and editor.

Then, I started getting too much work, and I began to burn out all the time. I started to dislike my job because I was always there. Thankfully, I found a balance and started hiring other people to help. This was a great decision because I can focus on other things other than editing…I was also taking more time off to enjoy life.

Xavier Ramirez, Donald Fonseca, Marcus Rodriguez, Joseph Ramirez, Ray Daniel, LAMP Media, Kerry Valderrama, Ed Rojo and Brandon Santiago all helped me to grow as a company.

I am looking forward to more jobs in 2022. So far we have booked a short trailer for a go fund me film, more videos with One Stop Wellness, a live stream gig with EA sports, a live stream gig in April, and a rodeo promotional video. DEKO 37 also signed a new contract with The Nature Conservatory and I am very excited for this!

We are getting closer to finishing a pilot for Waffle Dude…I am also looking forward to getting back to my documentary.DEKO 37 Video Production San Antonio
