DEKO 37 specializes in video production San Antonio, editing, aerial photography, and animation. Recently, we’ve had the opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects, from environmental videos to live performances.

Protecting Our Waterways with RASA

We recently worked with RASA (River Aid San Antonio) “A collation of citizens and businesses working to clean our waterways and promote environmental stewardship.” They do a lot of work removing trash from lakes, creeks and rivers. We filmed them at Nature Fest and cleaned a creek bed. The creek bed was full of junk and trash and after a few hours it looked really good.

Green Spaces Alliance: Planting a Greener Future

Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas “sustains the natural environment and enhances urban spaces through land conservation, community, community engagement and education.”

This organization is making a lasting impact on local communities. We were there to film them at Nature Fest and at Promesa (a private school in San Antonio) were there to capture their latest project — planting a tiny forest at a Promesa. Seeing students and volunteers come together to create a more sustainable environment was inspiring, and we’re proud to share their story through film.

Wish Bone Book Reading at Trinity University

Literature has the power to inspire global perspectives, and we had the privilege of filming a book reading at Trinity University for Wish Bone, written by Trinity alumna Carol Folbre. The book, centered on international travel, was brought to life through a dynamic panel discussion featuring:

• Armen Babajanian, CEO of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio
• Lark E. Mason Jr., specialist on PBS Antiques Roadshow
• Katsuo A. Nishikawa, director of the Trinity Center for International Engagement

Capturing Carol’s insights and experiences in Asia and Europe made for a fascinating discussion on global travel and cultural understanding. Carol’s story of not having little things like getting lost or running out of toilet paper were great points in her book.

The International Arts Festival 2025 at Incarnate Word University

Music and storytelling took center stage at The International Arts Festival 2025, which we filmed at Incarnate Word University. The festival featured:

• A musical adaptation of Pinocchio.
• Stations of Mychal, a powerful performance reflecting on 9/11
• The San Antonio Ambient Orchestra, delivering a unique auditory experience.

Pinocchio was interesting because there were different narrators that read Pinocchio with a different musician and a different instrument. There were several funny scenes and the audience loved it.

The stations of Mychal was great as well. The trio of musicians were extremely impressive. It was a conceptional performance that about the events prior and on 9–11. I have to say it was very emotional at the end when they were playing the fire department dispatch audio after the first plane hit the twin towers.

Filming such a dynamic event was an exciting challenge, and we worked to ensure every performance was captured in its full artistic glory.

Booom!! Skit

After writing a script about a boom mic two years ago, I finally was able to get some great actors to help. We recently filmed a funny sketch involving a boom mic, proving that even in professional settings, there’s always room for humor. I hope to finished editing this soon. We have a few pick up shots.

Team Building with Generus: Skateboards and Collaboration

Last-minute projects often bring unexpected surprises, and our recent shoot with Generus was no exception. We captured their employees at a seminar participating in a unique team-building activity — designing and building skateboards together. The energy and teamwork were incredible, and the shots turned out great.

Filming with Bobby Blount: A Returning Partnership

We were honored to be hired again by Bobby Blount, who previously brought us on board to film the Renaissance of the Stars dance event. Last year, proceeds from the event’s ticket sales went to charity, and we documented the entire process — capturing dance practices, interviews with charity owners, a council of individuals from SAAAAF, and a special performance by Gala, an Iranian musician. We’re excited to continue this partnership and bring more impactful stories to life.

Partnering with Dr. Punjabi: The Power of Neurofeedback

We’ve recently started working with Dr. Punjabi, a psychologist specializing in neurofeedback therapy, which helps clients recover from conditions like brain damage, concussions, PTSD, and trauma. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive therapy that trains the brain to self-regulate its activity, helping individuals form new neural pathways for improved mental and physical health.

One of Dr. Punjabi’s most remarkable cases involved a patient who had been bound to a wheelchair for years. Thanks to neurofeedback therapy, that patient is now walking again! We recently filmed Dr. Punjabi’s seminar at Dream Week in San Antonio, where eight individuals shared their experiences overcoming personal challenges through this innovative therapy. Moving forward, we will be filming client testimonials and Dr. Punjabi’s seminars, highlighting the life-changing impact of neurofeedback.

Looking Ahead: Future Projects with Comal ISD

We’re excited to continue our work with Comal ISD, where we’ll be filming students participating in a variety of elective programs. These include Culinary Arts, ROTC, Cybersecurity, Medical, Welding, Engineering, and many other specialized fields. Our goal is to highlight the hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for their futures, showcasing their skills and dedication.

Well summer has been great so far at DEKO 37 Video Production San Antonio. We’re thrilled to share some of our exciting projects and new developments from this summer. As a premier video production company in San Antonio, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch documentaries, short films, features, commercials, non-profit videos, and more. This season has been really great, and we’re excited to highlight some of our recent work!!

Celebrating Diversity with DEKO 37

Earlier this year, DEKO 37 diversified our services by investing in a portable sound mixer (Zoom F8n pro mixer), new lavalier mics (deity mics), and other sound devices. By doing this, we can offer take on several audio-focused projects for films, corporate and any other genre that needs audio.

One of our most notable audio projects was with Dodge EV. We equipped test drivers from large corporations with wireless microphones to capture their experiences driving the new Dodge EV vans. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the van’s speed, payload capacity, and impressive battery mileage.

After this DEKO 37 did the sound for testimonials on how the EV van performed.

Collaborations and Community Projects

This summer, DEKO 37 has had the privilege of working with several organizations and individuals:

• disABILITYsa: DEKO 37 has helped disABILITYsa several times. The mission of disABILITYsa is to educate, advance, and engage individuals with disabilities by building connections, exchanging information, creating opportunities, and strengthening our disability community in the greater San Antonio area. Recently we helped them with shooting and editing a pilot.
• San Antonio Area African American Community Fund: The Renaissance with the Stars is coming up shortly and DEKO 37 was hired to shoot several videos with for this event. Renaissance With The Stars Some of the video we did were videos about the contestants taking dance lessons with their dance partner, interviews with companies receiving grant money, and other similar videos.

We were able to also work with singer GOLA from Iran on her background animation during her concert at the same event. It was all a lot of work, but it came out really great. The event was a lot of fun and GOLA’s performance was terrific.

Other than that, the food, entertainment and everything else was great. I really enjoyed watching the dancers because I filmed them when they were just started practicing their routine. It was amazing how fast they learned it.

Neuroplasticity involves structural and functional changes to the brain’s activity, such as the formation of new neurons, synapses, and neuronal remodeling.

We are producing client testimonials, seminars and informational videos…and hopefully a documentary!!!

• Vanessa Cherry: We shot a BTS video for Vanessa’s song “Let’s go to the Movies” in Lockhart Texas at Gas Light Theatre. Check out Vanessa’s Mariachis San Antonio site out! The music video came out great and is currently getting re-edited. The hard part about editing BTS is that there is so much great footage. DEKO 37 shot over 2 1/2 hours of B-roll and is now getting it down to 10 minutes.
• San Antonio Museum of Art: On may we shot a video for the San Antonio Museum of Art. It went really well. The art procurment employee reviewed pictures from a book called Bike Riders by Daniel Lyons. I am going to see the movie soon!
• Archdiocese: We worked on various projects, showcasing the meaningful work of the Archdiocese and its impact on the community. There’s a 90 year old Mariachi musician that plays outside St. Fernando Cathedral. We did an interview with him.

Embracing Innovation: Our Spec Commercial Venture

In addition to our client projects, DEKO 37 is always exploring new creative avenues. We’re excited to announce that we’re in the process of shooting a spec commercial for Liquid Death.

To visualize the commercial, we turned to Midjourney, a cutting-edge tool that generates images based on detailed textual descriptions. While it requires precise input, the results are incredibly rewarding. For example, if you want an image of a lady dancing in a club, you need to specify her appearance, the club’s ambiance, framing, and colors. It’s a little hard at first because you have to type in exactly what you want.

For example, if you wanted a picture of Larry Bird eat waffles while shooting a three point shot in a yacht for Videographer San Antonio…you have to type exactly what the yacht looks like, what do the waffles look like, where is Larry Bird standing, is it a wide shot, etc.

I wanted to quit every other day when I first started, but thanks to friends and family I stuck with it. The reason I wanted to quit was because I didn’t have a network and I wasn’t making any money. But, this was one of the best times of my life.

Here are a few photos of the video production I did through out the past 10 years.

After six months at Geekdom, I was introduced to Julian Flores. He owned an app called YupiCall. He liked my first commercial a lot and hired me to do many more. We are still friends.

After Geekdom, I joined Alamo City Studios. This was a great experience for DEKO 37 Videographer San Antonio because I met several filmmakers and video producers that helped me get better at my craft. The studio was started by Kerry Valderrama. Kerry had the vision to unite SA filmakers and make San Antonio a huge hub for films.

Unfortunately, Kerry passed away in October. So many people have been affected by his loss. Not just friend and family, but the film community. Kerry would lobby for film incentives, go to every film festival in Texas and encourage filmmakers on how to distribute films.

He was also a successful filmmaker that shot Garrison, a military mystery, that revolves around an A.W.O.L soldier who is being searched for by his fellow troops. Garrison was inspired by the Fort Bragg killings of 2002.

He also helped produce Sanitarium. “Sanitarium” is an original series that consists of segments based on particular patients of a mental institution and what drove them to madness. The main actors are Malcolm McDowell, Lou Diamond Phillips and John Glover.

Alamo City Studios is still open and we have had a lot of different clients here filming and doing photography here.

Besides Kerry passing away, 2023 was a great year. It slowed down because of the SAG-AFTSRA strike for a few months. But we were lucky to still get business. One of my favorite projects last year was filming scenarios with the S.W.A.T. team and editing for the PFL.

For the SWAT team I was an AC (Assistant Camera), but after the first day I was able to film several scenes with two Sony Fs7s. The crew I worked with was really cool. One of my favorite part was in the fake village at the police academy. They SWAT team did a drill here where the police helicopter, a Hummer and the SWAT did a scenario of finding a group of criminals that stole Uranium. They threw a real flash grenade which caught me off guard.

We also did a lot of interviews with the SWAT team and the Chief of Police. I hope that I will get to work with this group soon.

Most of my other jobs were with seminars, commercials, a few non-profit shoots, bts for a SA film and a Youtube TV show.

This year I will be shooting a film with some people that come to Alamo City Studios. I will be using a Sony FX3 camera, a gimbal, tripod, 4 seinheiser mics with a zoom 6 mixer, and several lights (Nanlite 500, GoDox tube lights, matte lights, panasonic lights and many more).

So far the team has had a casting call for four actors, and a meeting at the location. We went over different angles and where we are going to put the lights here. There’s only two weeks before the shoot.

After this I will go down to Celestun, Mexico to help Eduarto film the Flamingo’s sanctuary being cleaned. They have already started filming but they want to do a pilot for this. I can’t wait to go.

DEKO 37 was hired recently to film for a series of education seminars for Incarnate Word. This was done to prepare for a high school decathlon. The first presentation was about film composition. Kevin talked about film scores for Space Odyssey, Dune, Star Wars and WALL·E . It was very interesting. Following this, a neurobiologist talked about cell structures and numerous other cellular facts.

Then there was math. The math part had a professor from Hungry doing math formulas for students to figure out. Following this there was a lecture about Virtual Reality and the history of when it started to now. The economics lecture was about people being happier in wealthier nations and how wealth starts.

The art lecture on Italy was great too. The final lecture was about science fiction in literature.

When we finished filming, Incarnate Word hired me again to edit TEDx Incarnate Word. I hired a North West Vista student, Michael, to help me edit the videos. There were eight TEDx talks. Michael did very well and I hope that I can hire him for more jobs. Hopefully, Incarnate Word will hire DEKO 37 film San Antonio to do there next TEDx production.

We also did a video for Alyssa Raymon, an artist who creates murials and paintings. She just started her business recently and wanted me to film her story. It’s going really great so far. I interviewed her at her house with a lot of art in her background. After this, I filmed B-roll of her showing me her painting, projects she is doing with her Ipad and a few locations where there were murals. I was very impressed by her work and the video will be done shortly.

I also finished filming with disAbility. I am very grateful for all of this work. DEKO 37 will work with them again in May.

So far we have helped disABILITY with a few videos. “The mission of disABILITYsa is to educate, advance, and engage individuals with disabilities by building connections, exchanging information, creating opportunities, and strengthening our disability community in the greater San Antonio area. disABILITYsa connects people with all types of disabilities and their families to information about local resources, programs and opportunities that promote independence and inclusion where they live, work and play.

One of the videos was covering a festival called “Accessibility.” The grant came from a climate change initiative. I filmed a lot of b-roll (B-roll describes all of the footage that isn’t the main action. This supplemental footage includes all of the shots that don’t include the principal subjects interacting with each other or talking into the camera) for the event. Some of the B-roll I filmed was a disabled person play table tennis, key speakers (such as Melonie, a city council chairman, and few more) a choir that sang hits such as “Under the Sea” from the movie “The Little Mermaid”, the vendor booths and people having fun.

I also interviewed people about the effect of climate change on disabled people. I had two interviews with people with disabilities. But other’s were too shy to talk. I interviewed a lot of people that had family members with disabilities that were effected by the increasing heat.

One lady that I interviewed, Heather, is blind and has Multiple sclerosis (MS) which is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. Because of her MS, she said she couldn’t go outside that much this summer since it was over 105 for a record amount of days. She may move to a cooler climate.

DEKO 37 video production San Antonio is also helping disABILITY with training videos to disabled students. We are filming a four course pilot. There is an ASL (sign language) next to the speaker for deaf people. DEKO 37 Videographer San Antonio will shrink the video of the ASL to the top right corner so it can be seen.

A lot of the students in the class are eager to participate and learn.

Eduarto and I are planning on making this video about flamingos living in polluted sanctuaries. Eduarto shot this footage in Celestun Mexico.

Zere, an environmental services company is working together with the town authorities to create a partnership to clean up the lakes and open field dumpsters of Celestun and other nearby towns along the coast of the Yucatán peninsula — the second most important jungle in the Americas.

Eduardo plan is to create a “virtuous circle” where the cleanup can generate money through energy generation, material repurposing, and recycling to generate wellness, a clean environment and local jobs for the community — not to mention a clean environment that can support the local flamingos — an iconic species that is endangered.

We also shot another video for Cedric. But this time Sandra Williams hosted it. She was interviewing an author. It should be out very soon.

I helped Brandon Santiogo film a wedding in Comfort Texas. Comfort Texas is about 37 miles away from San Antonio. The ceremony was pretty short and every one was happy. DEKO 37 might pick up some more wedding in the future.

DEKO 37 is creating an animation about a HOA board. I came up with a lot of ideas with my experience as a HOA president. The script writes itself on a daily basis. Here are some things that happened in the townhome community this week.

The HOA argues about what projects are more important and end up getting nothing done

• The residents are trying to over throw the management and HOA not knowing the consequences if they do this.
• There is a battle between an adjacent HOA board.
• The maintenance man is really quirky and messes up a lot
• Evil Resident stirring up things. Like trying sue the HOA for a stick falling next to her car, skunks running around at night (she traps skunks from other areas and releases them on the property)
• The hot tub constantly breaking

Here’s a shot of frame I’m creating right now. This is the HOA board on a zoom call talking about the budgets. There’s a disagreement about the rise of HOA fees. The fourth character, the president of the HOA is going to be in the bottom right screen. The top character is the secretary, the lady next to him is the VP and the lady at the bottom is the treasurer.

This weekend I had a call with a company that wants me film a doctor doing seminars and interviews with people. DEKO 37 is still talking about dates and locations. He travels all around the U.S. so we need to make schedules around this. Next week, they want me to go to Vegas and film the doctor’s seminar. This could open a lot of possibilities for future work.

I also received an e-mail from a client that wants to do a live stream from her house. I did this a few years back. It was a pretty easy setup and everything went well. We are glad to get repeat business.

In less than two months DEKO 37 will be 10 years old. It’s crazy how fast time has gone by and how much the company has evolved in San Antonio, Texas and the world. I am looking forward to the future of DEKO 37 and what we can do to adapt to the constant changing of video production.

The conference was mainly about college studios being recruited by large companies for jobs. Most of the companies were technology based. We interviewed several college kids, people who run certain organizations and filmed a lot of B-roll. Most of the B-roll were signs for the event, seminars and people interacting at booths. Everyone was in a great mood so it made the job a lot better.

Even though I am a San Antonio Videographer ,I am helping an Ad Agency in New Your City right now. After the first day, the agency asked me to shoot, gaf (set up lighting) and help edit. So, that’s a good thing because the client trusts me and will hopefully use me for the next gig.

Besides this I did a video for a famous jazz musician from Mexico City that passed away not to long ago. His daughter wanted a tribute video for him. We shot her singing one of his songs and made a tribute video for her. We used a lot of FB photos and old footage they were able to conver to MP4s to build the video.

DEKO 37 also finished the video for Nancy from Ascender at Alamo City Studios. We filmed her in the Cyclorama Studio at Alamo City Studios. Nancy wanted to add to the video we already did. She forgot to mention some sponsors at the end.

DEKO 37 video production San Antonio filmed an interview for a documentary being made in Spain. The documentary is about art, and one of the artists, Judy Berg, will be in the documentary is from San Antonio. The interview went well and the producer who hired me out of Spain said that he really liked the audio. Judy wrote a book called Bartolome De Cardenas ‘El Bermejo’: Itinerant Painter in the Crown of Aragon (Iberian Studies in History, Literature, and Civilization). The book is about BartolomZ de COrdenas, known as ‘el Bermejo’ (fl 1468–1495), was the most interesting painter of his generation in a time of great artistic and cultural as well as historic change in Spain. Originally from Cordoba, Bermejo appears to have received training directly in Northern Europe in the new technique of oil glazes. During his fascinating career he sometimes drew on the local ‘art scene’ producing altarpieces of astounding quality. This monograph will examine Bermejo’s career in the various cities in the Crown of Aragon where he worked: Valencia, Daroca, Zaragoza, and Barcelona.

On Tuesday, I will be filming a keynote speaker Sarah McVagnel, from Greatness Magnified. I hired Brandon to help with my Sony A7iv, a Sony camcorder, and gimbal. He will be shooting crowd shots and the speaker while I will get a wide on the speaker with two cameras. One will be a rental from camera exchange and the other will be my Canon C200.

The footage came out really well and Sarah, really enjoyed working with us. She tagged us on her page and loved the Instagram Videos we created for her.

HEY CHECK THIS OUTTTT! DEKO 37 Video Production San Antonio is working with Condra Artista on creating new demo reels for actors that need high quality 4k videos for their reel. Several actors have reels with old clips or low quality video that hurts their chances to get hired for work. DEKO 37 is offering package deals to help actors need better quality video.

Our packages will start at $150.00 for editing reels that the actor has together. Package 2 will have one 4k camera, audio, lighting and two scenes from non copy-written screenplays. We will have add ons for another actor in the shot, a director, hair and makeup. DEKO 37 videographer San Antonio will also edit these videos as well. The editing will include color grading, background sound and graphics.

I filmed Cedric’s show with Laurie Viganud, CEO of the Lift fund. The Lift Fund is non-profit organization that helps small business owners with limited access to capital by providing small business loans and minority business loans for women, startups, and entrepreneurs. Laurie Viganud is from New Orleans and recently moved here. The Liftfund actually helped out DEKO 37 with a loan converted to a grant during the lockdown.

DEKO 37 also finished the video for the San Antonio Film Festival. Xavier, Ray and I did most of the work. Adam Rocha, the owner of SA Film Festival, loved our footage and gave us some referrals. Unfortunately, because of the SAG and Writers Guild Strike, many actors and writers did not come to the festival. But there were still a lot of local, Texan, American and international shorts, features, animation, and documentaries. There were also events such as after parties, screen writer classes and workshops. Hopefully the strike will be over next year and the film festival, which will turn 40 years old, will be amazing.

Coming up is the Wild Life Rescue. Hopefully this shoot starts in October. It was delayed because the heat is keeping the animals lethargic.

I am going to be a camera assistant for a video company based out of Orlando. We are going to shoot three 12 hour days of the San Antonio S.W.A.T. team with drones, go pros, C-stands, 2 Sony FS7s and lights/audio. It’s still really hot in San Antonio, so I will bring a lot of water, sunscreen, and snacks. I have no idea what to expect from this shoot. I’ve been getting more conditioned so I can have the endurance to keep up.

The SAFF, was held at the radius center and the Tobin center. Because of the SAG and Writer’s Guild Strike, many actors and writers could not attend the festival. Hopefully the strike ends soon. The festival was still very successful. There were several short films, documentaries, features, animation, panel presenters, kid’s films and awards. Next year the SAFF will have their 30 year anniversary. This will be an amazing event.

Xavier, Ray and I attained a lot of great interviews, b-roll and ceremony shots here. Xavier is going to edit most of it this time. I am looking forward to seeing the final product. Once it’s done it will probably be put on the San Antonio Film Festival’s website. I didn’t know that they scanned over 400 features to pick 43 for the film festival.

DEKO 37 Video production San Antonio also did work for PFL. “The Professional Fighters League (PFL) presents MMA for the first time in the sport-season format where individual fighters control their own destiny, competing in a regular season, playoffs, and championship. PFL’s differentiated format and exciting fights sparked breakout growth for the league. PFL events are live in primetime on ESPN2, ESPN+ & ESPN Deportes.” The league is doing very well and there are a lot of new people tuning in everyday.

We were hired by an ad agency to edit reels and film interview. Danny went last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to edit. Most of the stuff he edited was sizzle reels between athletes Bubba Jenkins and Jesus Pineado. He also edited a video about the team getting on the bus and getting ready for the showdown. Everyone there was really nice and down to business. But they had fun after a long day.

Bubba is a fighter with a lot of flare. He loves to talk down to his opponent, and is very entertaining. His best fighting styles are take downs and boxing. Bubba is older and shorter than Jesus, but he had a lot more experience.

Jesus, is 26, tall and lanky. He can move just as quick as Bubba. Jesus is from Peru and also talked trash about Bubba. I edited these interviews of their talking about the fight and added b-roll of their fights into video for social media. Thankfully, Premiere can now transcribe languages into closed captioning. Before this you had to type all the closed captioning and time it to the video’s pace.

The hardest thing about these edit were converting from 16:9 ration to 9:16 and 1:1. It was difficult because I didn’t want to squish the images. Thankfully, all formats looked great.

The fights were really awesome. It was held here in San Antonio. Whoever won their weight class goes to the semi-finals in Madison Square Garden. Bubba and Jesus had a great fight, but Jesus won it.

Other winners were number one ranked in the light Heavyweight Josh Solveira, #3 IMPA Kasanganay (they will fight for the Championship in New York City) and Gabriel Braga (Featherweight) vs Jesus Pinedo, also in New York City.

I bought a new Mac Book pro with a M2 chip. This helped me edit the fighter’s reels a lot faster. I could scroll through 4k footage on full resolution without any delays and exporting was very fast. It’s smaller than my other mac book, but the speed is amazing. I will be selling my other Mac Book pro to a friend.

DEKO 37 Videographer San Antonio also shot a show for Cedric. He had two guests, a husband and wife, who talked about changing San Antonio’s education. We have been talking about putting more money into the show so that we can get 3 cameras. Two camera angles on each subject and then a wide angle camera. This will make the show more interesting. We will also invest in better back drops and backgrounds.

We also picked up a shoot for a documentary in Spain, an interview with a doctor and some possible other videos. The spanish documentary is about ancient art. The director found me by a google search.

Waffle Dude should be coming out very shortly! Vanessa del Fierro has agreed to help the editing out. Getting a fresh pair of eyes on this project will be a great help. We just need to add a little bit more and will be ready for the debut. DEKO 37 is also getting help from other video people for shooting skit. We are also going to shoot 3 commercial specs.

I had Chat GPT write this for me. Not too bad, but it is robotic. I think ChatGPT is good for making outlines and planning the day or a diet etc. It’s a great tool, but sometimes not useful because it can’t be as personal as the writer can be.

Last week we filmed a conference for Ascender.

 DEKO 37 Video Production San Antonio filmed the conference for three days. We filmed their seminars, key note speakers, booths and interviews with conference attendees. Everyone seemed to have a good time and learned a lot of knowledge about the software.

Our favorite part of the conference as filming people having fun, filming LaVonna Roth’s speech and doing interviews with several people. The food was great too. 

After this, DEKO 37  videographer San Antonio started editing the hours of footage to under three minutes. This is pretty challenging because we had so many great clips that we had to cut out to fit the time code. The video is almost done.

 

 

Editing San Antonio

Recently we filmed some videos about asthma education. There were several actors that came in to talk about their asthma issues to a doctor. We filmed this at the UT Health Science Center. DEKO 37 film San Antonio also filmed a TV show episode for Cedric about an African American art museum. It turned out pretty well. We also wrapped up the BTS shots and social media ads for the film Corazon City.

In August, DEKO 37 will be working on two videos for the Wildlife Rescue Rehabilitation. One will show how to properly take care of an injured animal and the other will show their huge facility. There will be tigers, lions, monkeys and other animals that people buy as pets then get out of control.

We will also do a huge video conference and some specs.

I’ve also owned a Panasonic G85, a Sony FX100, a Canon XL 200 and other cameras. One of my film friends was selling his Sony A7iii last year. I had seen it being used several times. Especially for my skits such as “Waffle Dude,” “Drive-through Pranks,” and “Waffle Dude workouts.” All this was shot by a Videographer San Antonio

When I first bought the camera, I didn’t use it much, but when I got hired to do a gig that required tracking, I took the Sony off the shelf for action. I used a Z2 crane for the Sony and attained some great tracking footage. I’d say the only issue I had was that it was hard to see if it was in focus or not. I had it on continuous AF, but still it was hard to tell. Thankfully, it all was.

I really like it’s low light ability. You can film in almost pitch black areas, increase the iso and f stop and still not get grain/noise. The drawbacks are the audio and absence of ND filter. With my C200, I have internal ND filters and XLR ports for audio.

I also like that it is light and easy to travel with.

The menu is a lot different than other cameras as well. It took me a while to figure out how to change the white balance, iso, f-stop and the shutter speed. The battery life is average.

This picture above was a from an event in San Antonio. I filmed several booths showing new medical technology. There were a lot of people here.

On future shoots, I will put my Atomos Shinobi monitor on it. These external monitors are great for focus, color and WFM amongst other things. It was a great purchase for me.

The Sony A7III has undoubtedly revolutionized production for filmmakers, offering exceptional low-light performance, seamless integration with stabilization tools, and portability for travel. At the end of the this month, I will be using the Z-crane and Sony to video hours of behind the scenes footage for a film production. It’s going to be at night, but with the Sony A7iii, it will be very good.
