This year has been great for DEKO 37 video production in San Antonio so far. DEKO 37 has been doing work with Comet Signs, Safety Supply Inc, a Plant Seminar, the ARC (the Army Retirement Center), a cooking show, a film audition and a short film.
Comet Signs hired us to film two sign installations (HEB and Patranco). The HEB sign was very large and was put on their new 1.2 million sq. foot storage space. It took a total of 4 days to put all the letters up. After it was done, you could see the letters from miles away. The other sign, was for a large store outlet center. This one took two days to install.
Safety Supply Inc. hired us to show how their training for safety classes run. We shot a lot of scenarios where they put people in harnesses, dragged people through tunnels and raised them to safety. Safety Supply Inc is unique because they have a trailer with everything in it for safety training. They can drive the trailer to businesses that need certification.
We shot a lot of B-roll and testimonials from students who took the class. All of the students learned a lot. They appreciated the fact that it was hands on and not all from a manual.
DEKO 37 also got hired to video a cooking show in San Antonio. The kitchen was small, but we were able to get some great shots and the client loved the footage. We had to do a lot of improvisation with the lighting because the kitchen lights were different color temperatures. The food was mainly southern (fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, grilled shrimp, grits and cornbread). It was all amazing.

I bought a new Senheisser shotgun mic and used it for this shoot. The audio was actually better than the Countryman Lav mic I use. We already gave our client the first draft and she was super excited about how good it looked. She wants to hire us again, but this time use a bigger kitchen.
The ARC hired us again to shoot a promotional video for a health cell Gala. We interviews the CEO and two retired officers to talk about the facilities. DEKO 37 shot a lot of B-roll of the activities such as art, work outs and social events. Every one looked really happy there. We just got hired to shoot some exercise videos as well. The reason they are doing this is in case the instructor gets sick or needs time off. They will have a back up video in it’s place.
